The Australian Power Quality and Reliability Centre (APQRC) at the University of Wollongong (UOW) is looking for a high-calibre applicant to undertake a PhD in cutting- edge Large-scale Renewables in Power Grids in the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project, ”Wide-area Interconnected Clean Energy Highway”.
The PhD applicant will work closely with the world-renowned researchers at the APQRC involved in the project. The PhD applicant will play a key role in planning of high penetration of renewables in power grids that meets the requirements of the project.

- Annual stipend of 26,500 AUD, tax free
Eligibility
To be eligible for PhD Electrical engineering scholarship, an applicant must:
- have a bachelor degree with first class Honours or Master degree in electrical engineering majoring in power engineering discipline
- research experience in computer simulations, modelling and control of grid connected renewables, interconnected power grids, and/or storage system integration with renewables would be extremely beneficial, and will be highly valued during the selection process
