Student Centre

Your one-stop shop for books, computer printing, group study spaces, and assistance with studying and enrollment is the Student Center, which is centrally located on our Hamilton Campus. With a ton of powerpoints you can plug in your computer and plenty of available assistance, the Student Center is an excellent place to study. When you first arrive on campus, the staff at the Student Center will also print and set up your Student ID card. The Hub

The Hub is located on level 1 of our Tauranga Campus and will be your go-to for student support and anything study-related. Our Student Advisors and Programme Administrators are located in The Hub, Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The team is your first port of call for everything from initial programme enquiry, enrolment, paper selections and fees, all the way through to exams and graduation. They provide pastoral care, guidance and advice, and are available to answer any questions you may have about navigating university life.

Student Learning

The Student Learning team provides a university-wide service to assist students with their academic learning needs. Dedicated tutors provide free advice and assistance with assignment preparation, referencing and citations, reading, exam preparation, language development or any learning matter. There is also a tutor specializing in maths and DATAX with whom you can also request a session.

With Student Learning, students can choose from different learning options including using the online resources, having a face-to-face or video consultation, attending drop-in or virtual drop-in sessions or receiving written feedback on their assignment drafts.

International Student Support

Living and studying overseas can be challenging. To help support your studies, we have a dedicated International Student Services office, located in the Student Centre, to help.

Award Benefits

  • The value of the standard Scholarship shall generally be:
    • living allowance of $27,500 in total every 12 months, payable in monthly instalments for up to 36 months (three years) in total.
    • The domestic tuition fees for enrolment in the doctoral qualification during the tenure of the Scholarship; and
    • The Student Services Levy.
  • Where an applicant has requested, or the Scholarships Executive has deemed it appropriate, a fee-only Scholarship may be offered. The value of a fees-only Scholarship shall normally be:
    • The domestic tuition fees for enrolment in the doctoral qualification during the tenure of the Scholarship; and
    • The Student Services Levy.
