The Hungarian government established the Stependum Hungricum Scholarship Program in 2013 to give international students the chance to complete their postsecondary education in Hungary. The program’s primary goals are to boost the number of foreign students studying in Hungary and to motivate Hungarian universities to draw in top talent from overseas.
The Stadium Hungricum Scholarship Program provides full- and partial-degree study opportunities in three-cycle degree structures (Bachelor, Master’s, and Doctoral programs). The majority of the programs are offered in English, but other foreign language study options are also available. To continue their higher education in Hungarian, students may also apply for a one-year course that prepares them for the language.
Both the number of Stipendium Hungaricum applications and the number of scholarship spots available are steadily rising. Approximately 5,000 scholarships are awarded to the most talented students worldwide each year. The most prestigious chance for students worldwide to study in Hungary is now available.
